20 MARKER
20 MARKER
Structure for Long Answer Questions (16-20 marks)
Usually get top marks for introduction
However, more essential to include a final conclusion
Theory has to link well for top marks
P.E.E.T
Point = An idea, category or piece of terminology
Example = A specific thing (text, company, aspect of case study, statistic etc.) from real world media
Explanation = Justify your point. Relate to question and command verb. Possibly given an opinion. State why the example is appropriate
Theory = Where appropriate, link it to the theory. Don't just drop the theory in, really be specific
On average, for every three marks you want a P.E.E
16-18 marks = 4X P.E.E.T
20 marks = 4-5 P.E.E.T
Conclusion is needed!
Remember - in a debate question, candidates are expected to demonstrate both sides in order to gain maximum marks. This doesn't need to be balanced.
